This Week's Highlights

Welcome Back!

Welcome back, families and caregivers! Bring on the high fives, big smiles, and classic first-day excitement!! The 2026–2027 school year is officially here, and it is going to be our best one yet!
Above all else, our top priority this year, and every year, is your children. Every choice we make, every lesson we design, and every goal we set keeps our students directly at the heart of all our decisions. We are fully committed to creating a safe, joyous environment where your kids feel loved, inspired, and challenged to grow into their best selves every single day.

This school year also brings an exciting shift as we welcome a new superintendent to our district family. Leadership shifts bring positive new opportunities, and I can genuinely say that I am excited to see where this year brings us. We are energized, aligned, and eager to partner with you under this fresh vision, keeping our shared focus right where it belongs: on the success and well-being of our amazing students.

Your children are the heartbeat of our school community, and we cannot wait to partner with you for a brilliant year of learning, connection, and fun. Let’s bring the enthusiasm and get this school year started!

With Gratitude,
Rebecca LeBeau

A Message from RKFRR After School Program

Hello Ryan Road Families!

Exciting news in our building! Our music teacher, Mr. Matt, is offering a Music Club for grade levels 3rd through 5th.

This class is a great chance to learn more about singing and performing. Whether your student has experience, or if they're just curious and want to try it out! We will be singing a variety of songs while learning new things about our voices, enhancing our musical knowledge, and practicing what it’s like to sing in a group. This class will be a fun experience for all, and a great first step for any students wishing to join chorus in middle school!

It will be held on Monday afternoons from 2:10pm until 3:45pm.

If you’re already enrolled in the NPS-offered after school program, then you can “Sign Up” for the club via Brightwheel. If you have any trouble signing up, please email me directly.

If you’re not enrolled in the after-school program, Mr. Matt and I decided that we’d like to offer the club to all students attending Ryan Road. If you’d like more information, or if you’re interested in signing your child up for Music Club Mondays then please reach out to me at: ablack@northampton-k12.us

Thank you!

Action Required: School Nurse Updates & Student Medications

Welcome to a healthy, happy new school year! To ensure we are fully prepared to support your child's health and safety from day one, please keep the following guidelines in mind if your student will need medication at school:
  • In-Person Medication Drop-Off: All medications (both prescription and over-the-counter) must be brought directly to the Health Office by an adult. For safety reasons, students are not permitted to carry medications in their backpacks.
  • Original Containers Required: Prescription medications must arrive in their original pharmacy bottle with the correct prescription label attached. Over-the-counter medications must be unopened and in their original packaging.
  • Required Forms: Before we can dispense any medication at school, a completed Medication Authorization Form and a Physician Orders (can be faxed) must be submitted to the nurse.
If your student has a specific health plan, severe allergy, or unique medical needs for the upcoming year, please stop by or call the Health Office so we can align on care. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students safe and healthy!

Thank you,
