October 28th - November 1st: 1/2 days -Early Dismissal @ 11:30 - Caregiver/Teacher Conferences

November 5th: No School - Professional Development Day

November 11th: Veteran's Day - No School

November 27th: 1/2 day; Early Dismissal at 11:30am

November 28-29th: November Break - No School

December 12th: 1/2 day- Teacher Work Day

Well, I know that someone ate my ten-pound box of peanut brittle, Gerald, and I doubt it was a rogue jelerang!

The Northampton Education Foundation (NEF) Adult Spelling Bee returns on Tuesday, October 22, 6:00 p.m. at BOMBYX Center for Arts & Equity, 130 Pine Street in Florence. This family-friendly event is free, but attendees must register in advance at bombyx.live/events/the-northampton-education-foundation-adult-spelling-bee. Walk-up entry will be available if we haven’t reached capacity.

Local businesses, organizations, and individuals are encouraged to sponsor the event and enter teams to compete. NEF can also match teams with sponsors for those who have formed a team and need a sponsor. Sign up to sponsor and/or register a team at northamptoneducation.org/community-events/adult-spelling-bee/event-registration. All funds raised by the NEF Spelling Bee support our Small Grants for Teachers program.

Northampton Public Schools has partnered with Smith College to bring you the summer 2024- 2025 school year K-8 reading challenge! We encourage that all NPS students read (and be read to) and invite you to record the titles on the reading log all summer and year long! There will be prizes for top readers in each school, grade and class to be announced and awarded in June 2025!
